Volunteers work from our drop centre performing production and basic administration activities, learning on the job alongside our team. Beyond the kitchen, we share knowledge at schools and through initiatives run with other organisations.

Effectively, creating the feeling of a home away from home.

We strive to create opportunities that empower — geared towards both youth and adults.

How we do it

Two routes to the same outcome

On-the-job training

Real responsibility in a working kitchen, not a classroom exercise. Volunteers build food production and distribution capability while the meals they help make go out the same week.

  • Cooking and food preparation
  • Administration and coordination
  • Packing and distribution

Knowledge sharing

Motivational engagements at schools and institutions, covering topics relevant to the people in the room.

In partnership

Delivered with organisations already embedded in their communities — including PS4L (Play Sport 4 Life) at Windermere High School.

Making a Difference

Our empowerment work in partnership with PS4L (Play Sport 4 Life), delivered at Windermere High School.

Learn something. Teach something.

Volunteers are how this programme runs. Our kitchen operates Monday to Thursday, 9am to 2pm.
