Background
The organisation was established during the COVID-19 lockdown and registered as a Non-Profit Company (NPC Reg #: 2020/490170/08) in June 2020 with Public Benefit Organisation status. Three founding members initiated the effort with a shared vision for sustainable change, evolving into a community-based initiative.
2020 involved exploring operating models under challenging circumstances. By June 2021, IFH implemented its model and officially launched operations in Salt River, focusing on awareness around poverty with a focus on basic living needs, and empowerment.
The organisation created a drop centre to deliver direct services through community members or collaborative partnerships, integrating its focus areas via innovative solutions.
